Over the school holidays all class rooms were
“wired” for internet access at a cost of $20 000 and made ready for the installation of a computer and data projector. The P&C donated $10 000 toward
the project. This development is not about “more computers” in class rooms. It is about providing our information communication technology (ICT)
trained teaching workforce with the necessary hardware for them to implement interactive teaching strategies and to allow our teachers to incorporate ICT
into their routine teaching practice.

Parent honoured for contribution to sport
This year the major award for Contribution to Sport was made in recognition of the incredibly generous contribution from the O’Brien family who purchased
a full set of jerseys for the Open Rugby League Football team. Our teams were starting to look a little shabby and Jeff O’Brien reached into his
own pocket to address the issue. It will be an honour for the open side to play on Macintyre soil in the original Macintyre colours!
