Macintyre High is one of two comprehensive high schools in Inverell, Northern New South Wales. Macintyre is run by a team of dedicated staff, promoting excellence in all aspects of school curiculum. Classed as a technology high school, the currciulum incoorporates a wide variety of academic, sporting and leadership opportunities shown through the outstanding results achieved by the school each year.

Recognised for its achievements throughout the nation, Macintyre High's reputation preceedes its students entering both tertiary studies and ultimately the work force. Among the best computer ratios in the state, technology in these aspects are utilised throughout rooms and labs in the school, boasting a large number of Audio-Visual enabled lecture theatres, fully equipped science laboratories and performing arts facilities alike.

Past Macintyre students have often had little trouble obtaining scholarships from the some of the best universities throughout the country. With students before, selected to represent Australia at the Nobel Prize Ceremony, State and International World Leader Congress and representation at both national and global levels for various other achievements.
